A 1/43rd scale 1947 Ferrari 125 S Spyder. Ferrari's first car. Made by RD Marmande. Completely hand built from carved wood and found materials (toy car wheels, pins, paper clips, wire, plastic, etc.).

Raymond Daffaure from the city of Marmande in the Southwest of France started manufacturing wooden model cars in the late 1950s. In the following two decades, Raymond made models of at least 800 different cars in his kitchen. Those lucky enough to attend Le Mans from the 1960's through the 1970's would have seen Raymond selling his cars to race fans.  Each model is completely hand-carved, hand-painted and handbuilt. The level of detail is remarkable regarding the materials and the simple production process. One of the most popular models was the Ferrari 250 GTO. It is estimated that Raymond Daffaure produced about 40 to 100 models each month. He had to cease production in 1978 due to health problems.

Please note this model car may have been refurbished and/or restored. The model is vintage and extremely delicate.

Care should be taken when handling.

Not suitable for children under 14 years of age. This model car is not a toy.
